Lisa Shifflett, one of the organizers of the Concerned Citizens of Polk City, stated in the BayNews9 interview, “Typical water bills are running two and three hundred dollars,” said Polk City resident Lisa Shifflett. “It is insane and that's not counting sewer.” I assume that this is the monthly rate. BayNews9 printed an addition to the interview that is important to note. "The fact is, the water bill, the median water bill, is $33.21, meaning most people get a water bill around $33," said Polk City Vice Mayor Trudy Block.

The following are the FACTS of the September bills:
Water Rate per month Average – $46.84 Median – $33.21
Irrigation Rate per month Average – $84.27 Median – $47.56
Sewer Average – 84.63 Median – $37.40
Average Water usage 11,35 gallons Median Water usage 4000 gallons
Median is what most of the customers pay. This includes both the commercial and the residential customers.
Where are the facts supporting the $200 - $300 monthly water bills?
