Cardinal Hill Plant Causing Too Much Noise for Nearby Residents

Here is a recent letter to the City from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection:

  1. Seems to me the DEP considers this a interim facility.

  2. I encourage everyone to send questions to the DEP regarding the cardinal hill plant. If it is a temporary plant, how can they plan future expansion with the plan to use it for Mt. Olive waste and then the addition of the proposed warehouse/retail mall. Can the City increase the use to that level? This City doesn't seem to look beyond the immediate situation. They never seem to consider the ramifications in the future. Just a concern. We need to be pro active.

  3. The city is leasing the land where the plant is on, and they just had an appraisal done on land there. Is that land to be used for a sprayfield which is needed for expansion?? Why spend tax dollars on having an appraisal done for future expansion on a temporary plant?

  4. It just keeps stacking up. When are these people going to wake up. The City needs to dissolve and work out a plan for a special taxing area with the County?
