so they lied to us again. be happy and get the 10 million and this would decrease our property taxes. it is time we recall all of them including our neighbor mike that was going to fight for us. when will he start.
this council has no intention, and never had to lower any costs for the residents of Polk City. If you believed they would , I have a lot in Mt Olive I would love to sell you. Its a great place to live..... but if you don't have alot of money , you could go broke living in Polk City. Attorney Cloud and his pawns will take all they can. They are laughing all the way to the bank. Lie , lie, lie, ....
If I "crunched" the numbers right, the millage rate remains the same as 2011, but the property values have decreased which means you will be paying less. In addition, the bond avoided placing a special assessment in the thousands of dollars for every property owner in Polk City over the next 10 YEARS! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, MIKE!!!
I guess I look at the different numbers. our tax rate is almost at the max, yes our property values have gone down, so we can't sell and escape, what special assessment. If we returned the water/sewer plant to the county, we would not have taken the 10 million in bonds, to keep a losing plant going, buy more property, and starting a new plant and paying 21million for 30 yrs. Not to mention all the fees the council has come up with , wac/sac, almost highest water rates in the state, and no services in the city. You don't mention we have to pay for water even if we are not there and are not allowed to turn services off if our property is for sale. They tell us we can not disconnect. What a great deal we are getting. I'd love to see how you figure we are saving thousands?????? You never crunch all the figures. Saving are you kidding????
