I just got a notice, that the council will not be raising the Tax rate for Polk City. The Mayor says they all voted it down and sent it back to the city manager to re work the budget. He did not mention what they are doing about pay increases.
I am skeptical, they will find another way to get the money they need with deposits, fees etc. they need to run that water and sewer plant some how. this is not over.....
one way or another they will tax everyone out of this rotten city
