Can someone explain What the Uniform Collection Agreement with Joe Tedder Tax collector is???? Does this have anything to do with them adding the WAC/SAC tax to the tax bill. Did they determine if this is legal??????
That's probably a good guess on the Uniform Collection Agreement. Couldn't find anything on PC website that would give any more info. Business as usual.
Look at pg 2 Ord 1275, "The City and Lakeland are willing to enter into a new, twenty (20) year, non-exclusive Franchise to provide for the construction, maintenance and operation of electric facilities in the City's public rights-of-way pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein (the "Franchise”)" So much for the city officials trying to work out a new deal with TECO for the Lakeland Electric customers in the city since Lakeland Electric charges more for the same service. The previous administration was at least trying to fix this wrong. These bozos are happy with signing those poor people up for 20 more years of high fees. Real nice!
OMG!!! Lakeland Electric has screwed Polk City residents for years and now this council with this agreement has sent the message to the residents that they don't care and to just bend over further! But doesn't it just figure the majority of the council could care less because they already have TECO and don't have to worry about Lakeland and it's greedy ways!
